Platform

Field to deliverable, one controlled line.

G& is organised around a single question: is this package ready to submit without rejection or rework? Data management is the foundation; submission readiness is the product.

Report review

Beta

A factual report can be checked before it is sent.

Generate factual reports from approved records, or bring an existing report into a review pass. G& surfaces comments on scientific problems, data accuracy, missing support, cross-table inconsistencies, and the standards basis behind reported values, then shows what remains before submission readiness.

Beta status: this workflow is still being completed and is not yet 100% available in the current version. It supports—not replaces—the responsible engineer's review and sign-off.

PENDING

Data accuracy / report table compared with approved laboratory record

Scientific consistency / description checked against grading and plasticity

Standards basis / cited method and version require engineer confirmation

The line

Five stages, no side doors.

01 / Capture

Field and lab measurements entered once at source, bound to location, depth interval, and sample ID on write.

  • Daily records
  • SPT / CPT increments
  • Sampling & groundwater
  • Legacy AGS & Excel intake

02 / Govern

One central geotechnical database with referential integrity enforced at the database, and standards held as versioned data.

  • Parent–child schema
  • Versioned standards
  • Record history
  • Role-based access

03 / Validate

Data integrity, engineering logic, AGS compliance, and plausibility run continuously — not at export time.

  • Four validation layers
  • Client rule sets
  • Issue log
  • Corrections workflow

04 / Approve

QA review then explicit approval by a named signing engineer. Approved is the only state a deliverable can be built from.

  • QA review queues
  • Forward-only status
  • Named approvals
  • Immutable audit log

05 / Deliver

AGS 4.1 packages, borehole logs, factual reports, reviewed report comments, client exports, and IPC quantities — all from approved records.

  • AGS 4.1 package
  • Factual report creation

Field-level diff

Every value, as it changes stage.

The same record shown at raw capture, after the standards engine derives values, and once a named engineer has certified it — field by field, with the changes marked.

Group symbol SM cross-checked against the plasticity chart per ASTM D2487; PI recomputed independently per BS 1377-2 and ASTM D4318.

No inconsistency between the Atterberg-derived index and the classification label.
